Being a teenager can feel like a lot.

You might struggle to stay organized, keep up with schoolwork, manage your emotions, or follow through on things you know you need to do.

Maybe you find yourself getting frustrated easily, feeling overwhelmed by small things, or struggling to explain why certain situations affect you so much. Friendships, social expectations, and school pressures can bring additional challenges, especially when anxiety or self-doubt are part of the picture.

ADHD doesn't look the same for everyone. Therapy provides a space to better understand how your brain works, recognize your emotional needs, and develop strategies that help you feel more capable and confident.

ADHD can often be accompanied by anxiety and may need to be addressed together.

Anxiety can show up as:

Mental and Emotional Signs: Constant worry, trouble concentrating, irritability, or perfectionism.

Physical Symptoms: Racing heartbeat, shortness of breath, muscle tension, headaches, and stomachaches.

Behavioral Changes: Withdrawing from family or friends, avoiding difficult tasks or school, and sleep disruptions

Areas we can work on include:

  • ADHD and executive functioning challenges

  • Emotional regulation and frustration tolerance

  • Anxiety and social anxiety

  • Organization, motivation, and school-related stress

  • Friendships and relationships

  • Self-esteem and confidence

  • Overthinking and managing overwhelming emotions

When appropriate, family therapy or parent coaching can be included in therapy.

This can give your family a chance to better understand what you’re experiencing, improve communication, and learn how to support you at home—while still respecting your need for independence and a private space to work through things that are important to you.
